During my recent stay at the Middle Park Hotel, I found the location to be perfect for exploring Melbourne. though the hotel experience was a mix of good and not-so-good elements. While the ambiance and charm of the place were good, certain aspects like service and room features left something to be desired. Overall, my experience was decent but not without its shortcomings.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was clean and modern, with a comfortable bed and effective air conditioning. However, I did find the wardrobe space quite limited, which made storing my clothes a bit challenging. Also, the bathroom, while newly refurbished, had some wear that detracted from the overall experience.
Service
5.0
The service didn't quite meet my expectations. On a couple of occasions, I felt there was a lack of genuine care when issues arose—like when I had to deal with a leaking fridge and the response was rather impersonal. It left me feeling undervalued as a guest during my stay.
Location
8.0
The location of the hotel is one of its strong points. being situated in a lovely, quiet suburb with handy tram links. It made getting to downtown Melbourne and St Kilda Beach quite easy, and I also enjoyed the nearby parks and cafes.
Dining
6.0
I enjoyed the breakfast options available, with a good variety of pastries, cereals, and beverages. However, during one dinner experience at the hotel restaurant, the atmosphere felt off due to some noise from the kitchen, and we missed out on dessert because of the early closing. It was a bit disappointing.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities included a cozy pub downstairs that added to the hotel's charm. I appreciated the cleanliness and upkeep of the room, and the breakfast spread was satisfying. Still, improvements in service and maintenance would enhance the overall experience.

5.2/10

Middle Park Hotel offered a charming stay with a great location and friendly staff. However, the small wardrobe space and some service lapses dampened the experience. Overall, it's a quaint spot close to the beach and city, making it worth considering for your trip to Melbourne.

Rooms
7.0
The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely bed and modern bathroom amenities. However, the wardrobe was quite small, which made it a bit challenging to store our clothes.
Service
5.0
While the front desk staff were friendly, I encountered a lack of empathy during a few situations, which was disappointing. For instance, when dealing with a leaking fridge, I didn't feel adequately supported.
Location
8.0
The hotel is ideally located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to tram services. It's just a short ride to the city and a pleasant walk to St Kilda Beach, which I really enjoyed.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast spread was good, and the restaurant offered good food, but I did miss out on dessert due to timing issues, which made the dining experience less enjoyable.
Facilities

The hotel had a nice pub with a good vibe and served a decent breakfast. However, the lack of a lift can be a hassle for those with mobility issues.

7.0/10

I enjoyed staying at Middle Park Hotel, which had a charming character and was conveniently located near tram lines and local cafes. However, my experience was slightly marred by a few service shortcomings and some minor room issues. Overall, it was a lovely getaway despite these hiccups.

Rooms
7.0
The room was comfortable with a nice bed and ample amenities, though a bit small for my liking. I found the wardrobe space to be limited, and the decor, while quaint, could use some updates. Overall, it was sufficient for my needs during a short stay.
Service

The reception staff were friendly when I arrived, but my experience with them later was less satisfactory. I felt there was a lack of genuine care when I needed assistance with my wet clothes. I appreciated their politeness, but the response was lacking.
Location
9.0
The location is excellent, just a short walk from tram services that take you to the city or beach. I loved being in a quiet suburb with character, surrounded by cafes and shops, making it easy to explore Melbourne's highlights.
Dining
7.0
I had a decent meal at the hotel restaurant, but the experience was a bit awkward due to the noise from the kitchen and being unable to order dessert. I appreciated the friendly service but felt a bit rushed and unwelcome.
Facilities
7.0
I found the hotel facilities adequate. The breakfast spread was enjoyable, though more options would have been nice. The absence of a lift could be challenging for some guests, but overall the place had a welcoming atmosphere.

5.6/10

I really enjoyed my stay at Middle Park Hotel. The location was fantastic, right across from a tram station, making it super easy to get around. The staff was friendly and helpful, and my room was clean and modern, though I did notice some areas where they could improve, like the lack of a lift for easy access. Overall, it was a solid choice for value in Melbourne.

Rooms
8.0
I booked a Deluxe Queen room and found it to be cozy and beautifully furnished. However, it was smaller than I expected based on the photos, which was a bit disappointing. The room was clean, had a lovely modern style, and the bed was comfy with ample pillows.
Service
9.0
The service was excellent; the staff was always willing to help out, like when I needed a taxi and they ensured I didn't have to wait outside in the cold. I also loved that they sent up milk for my tea at no extra charge.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is a major plus. It’s close to the CBD, only a short tram ride away, and in a lovely suburb with plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, which made exploring super easy.
Dining
8.0
While the hotel doesn't serve breakfast, I found plenty of good options nearby, including an IGA supermarket and lovely cafes. The pub downstairs looked popular for lunch and dinner, though I didn't dine there during my stay.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities were good overall. I appreciated the clean rooms, and the welcome drink was a nice touch. The absence of an elevator is something to keep in mind if you're not up for stairs.

I enjoyed my stay overall, but there were definitely aspects that could use improvement. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Melbourne, but I found my room a bit cramped and noisy. The staff were friendly, though the service at times felt lacking. Overall, a charming place with character, but not without its drawbacks.

Rooms
6.0
My room was on the smaller side and had some noise issues, especially from the interconnecting door. Though the bathroom was newly refurbished, I felt it could have benefited from more wardrobe space.
Service
6.0
The staff were generally friendly and welcoming; however, I experienced a lack of follow-up when issues arose, which left me feeling a bit neglected during my stay.
Location
8.0
The hotel is perfectly situated in a quiet suburb, with easy access to the tram and close proximity to both downtown and the beach. It was a charming neighborhood with lovely cafes which I appreciated.
Dining
6.0
I enjoyed breakfast, which had a good assortment, but I had a disappointing experience when the restaurant closed early during my visit and I couldn't order dessert. It affected my overall dining experience.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had a cozy lounge area and clean facilities, but I found the lack of on-site parking inconvenient. I had to park on the street a few blocks away.
